ROWAN​PRE-HEALTH

It’s easy to notice that the Rowan Pre-Health Club has a brand new outlook this year! The club has maintained its traditional focus on interaction with various local professional schools while adding several other dimensions to its activities. It has brought in guest speakers to discuss relevant topics such as Medical Anthropology and is incorporating informational movies and books to enhance the pre-health experience of its members. Furthermore, the upperclassmen are also forming a strong bond with the underclassmen through the likes of student-led workshops and Mentoring programs. Cooper Medical School, Rowan SOM, Temple Medical and Dental Schools, and NOVA have not only visited but have also given our students the opportunity to visit their facilities. Most importantly, the admissions’ coordinators have spent valuable one-on-one time with prospective students, specifically students who are in the current application cycle, in order to answer their questions. These programs provide students with the opportunity to chase their dreams successfully.

 

Pre-Health club concluded the Spring semester by joining forces with multiple student organizations and departments and hosting “Study Madness”, an all-day event offering review sessions with professors, areas for group and individual study, and most importantly, FOOD!

 

It’s truly an exciting time to be a Pre-Health Club member!
